Rain, like people, is often misunderstood.

Bad: rained-out sports, slippery roads, mud-slides, flooding, dreary, depressing, you see what I mean.

Good: listening to rain on the roof of the house/car/umbrella, Gene Kelly's dance in Singin' in the Rain, puddles, staying cozy inside on a stormy day, you see what I mean here, too.

It all comes down to attitude.  Your perception of rain all depends on how you choose to look at it.
