I have a job in which I use Word, Excel, and PowerPoint on a daily basis. I thought I knew it all.
I have been pleasantly surprised at what I have learned in this class! Each of the programs has more power and capabilities than I realized. I salute the developers (and Bill Gates) for building programs that make it possible to create professional documents with great ease.
It has also been interesting to learn, in a formal way, about the history of computing, the "innards" of these amazing machines, and what's really behind all of the jargon we use every day.
I recently learned that this class will no longer be a required General Studies course. I find that unfortunate, because I feel it has been very worthwhile.
